Crowdsourced software reviews site TrustRadius recently put out a report taking a look at the top marketing platforms and the activity they’re generating on its site.
As more companies start adopting marketing automation, the competition in the space is heating up as well. From Q2 to Q3 2014, TrustRadius says it experienced a 25% increase in unique page views for marketing automation products. Here are the platforms TrustRadius says got the most reviews in Q3:
Last month HubSpot became the second marketing automation company after Marketo to go public, and all that IPO buzz definitely played a part in the number of reviews HubSpot received. Marketo got the next highest number of reviews, but it was interesting to see Salesforce’s Pardot platform ahead of ExactTarget in the number of reviews.
Larger, enterprise focused platforms such as Eloqua, Unica and Adobe Campaign (Neolane) were further down the list, highlighting that it really is the mid-market company segment that is driving the most activity in the marketing automation space.
While the number of reviews it gets might not indicate how good a platform is, TrustRadius says the more a platform is reviewed, the more likely it is to report higher user satisfaction numbers. In a blog post, TrustRadius writes, “The average likelihood to recommend score on TrustRadius for the five most evaluated marketing automation products is 8.8/10 versus 7.6/10 for the next five.”
