MeritDirect has won list management responsibilities for 45 lists and databases owned by financial publisher SourceMedia, effective March 21.
SourceMedia previously worked with Edith Roman, according to a company representative. Edith Roman won SourceMedia’s business in 2005.
SourceMedia publishes news and information on the banking, payments, mortgage, and accounting sectors, among others. It also runs financial-sector seminars and conferences.
Rob Sanchez, president of MeritDirect, said the Source Media business is “a great fit for our portfolio.”
“We are planning to do a co-registration program for them,” he said. “Right now, their masterfile is about 840,000 records, mostly in financial, but also in IT and other technology segments.”
Sanchez added that MeritDirect pitched Source Media for the businesses, adding that the company was looking for “more services and more resources” and “just a little bit more stability.”
CCMP Capital Advisors bought Edith Roman parent company Infogroup last July. Edith Roman has also seen various high-level personnel changes in the past year. Former co-presidents Steve and Wayne Roberts left the firm last year, as did former president Greg Grdodian and former SVP Chris Longo.
