Media planning agency Media Horizons has named Joe Page creative director. He works mainly on Media Horizons’ Liberty Medical account, but oversees all of the agency’s creative.
He replaced Steve Turk, who became design director. Page reports to Jim Kabakow, president and CEO of Media Horizons, and oversees six employees at the agency. For the past two years, Page worked as an independent consultant, after serving as VP and creative director for Scholastic Inc. He has also worked as VP and creative director at Digitas and as SVP and executive creative director at EuroRSCG/Brann Worldwide, according to an agency statement.
Announced January 26, the hiring took effect in October after Page worked with Media Horizons as a consultant.
“This opportunity was unique in that the agency does primarily direct marketing but with a media focus, and there’s a strong creative offering but they were never packaged together,” Page said. “The company’s founders and senior managers are from client or media side, and creative wasn’t always part of upfront offering.”
