Mobile services firm 3rd Dimension Inc. has debuted a new national mobile advertising network in conjunction with NBC.
The mobile advertising network is part of a mobile traffic live video feed, where consumers can look at traffic conditions in various cities nationwide. The mobile feed shows consumers real time cameras of major roadways, but while loading the camera, serves up an ad from the new Mobileyes Advertising Network.
“The ad is only up for a few seconds, as long as it takes for the camera to load,” said Eric Joseph, president and COO, 3rd Dimension. “It is a very engaging ad, because you know people are looking at it, waiting to see the traffic. We also have a geotargeting capability, since you can tell where a consumer is going.”
NBC is exclusive national sales partner. Advertisers include McDonald’s, local auto dealers and the Philadelphia board of tourism.
“NBC has been a critical piece of this, as we are a part of their mobile package,” added Joseph. “If an advertiser comes in and wants a mobile offer, we are part of their mobile offering.”
Mobileyes is currently available in New York; Los Angeles; Washington, DC; Detroit; Houston; Kansas City, MO; Hartford, CT; Knoxville, TN; and Indianapolis.
To use the free mobile traffic service, consumers must download the application at www.3DMobileyes.com.
