E-mail calendar provider BlueTie Inc. has partnered with e-mail marketing services firm Constant Contact Inc. to power an e-mail marketing service within its service platform.
Under the terms of the partnership agreement, Constant Contactáwill serve as the e-mail marketing provider in a new e-mail marketing feature embedded within BlueTie’s hosted application called a BluTie Featuretisement. The feature lets BlueTie’s small business customers send e-mail marketing messages to its BlueTie e-mail contact list within the platform for an additional fee.
“It’s important for small businesses to create an ongoing dialog with customers. This new integration lets customers create a two-way dialog with their clients,” said Jeremy Hunter, vice president of product and SMB marketing at BlueTie, Pittsford, NY. “We chose Constant Contact because their solution lets users create a dialog with their customers. A small retailer that sends out a weekly newsletter in this platform can add feedback to the communication and create a two way dialog.”
Constant Contact’s e-mail marketing product is accessible through a drop down menu in the BlueTie inbox. Customers can access their contacts stored in their BlueTie account to send custom newsletters, promotions or announcements. Users also can take advantage of Constant Contact’s e-mail tools such as templates and tracking reports.
Other features within the BlueTie platform include an Orbitz service that allows users to match flights and hotels with meetings and schedules planned within the BlueTie e-mail calendarig system. BlueTie monetizes the content by taking a percentage of travel booked or e-mail marketing accounts signed up for Constant Contact.
