Lawsuit Says USPS Intentionally Changed Employee Time Sheets

A class-action lawsuit filed by three postal employees and one retired postal employee alleged that various U.S. Postal Service supervisors have “systematically and purposefully” altered their electronic time slips to reduce the amount of money they were owed.

The lawsuit, which was filed Jan. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District Court of Florida (Tampa Division), alleges that the defendant's supervisors intentionally made deletions on regular and overtime hours.

The plaintiffs' attorney, Samuel Bearman of Pensacola, FL, said the number of plaintiffs may ultimately increase to over 200,000 nationwide.

A USPS spokesman said the agency never comments on pending litigation.
