Tad Clarke hit the nail on the head regarding his editorial on analysts (“Let’s Get Rid of Analysts,” Dec. 2). In these difficult times especially, analysts really do not have a clue as to what is going on. All they can do is feign knowledge and insight by releasing self-gratifying, byline “reports” on the latest economic statistics, without having to do any actual research or “analysis” on their own. What a profession!
On another note, I regularly enjoy the newsletter and DM articles, so keep up the good commentary and work.
