ThompsonConnect Adds Staff to San Francisco Office

Days after announcing its formation as a global direct marketing network, ThompsonConnect Worldwide, New York, has announced the addition of five staffers to its San Francisco office.

Cari Jacobs a new account supervisor, comes to ThompsonConnect from FCB Direct/San Francisco. Jacobs' account work includes Wells Fargo, Cisco Systems and Levi's Dockers in her previous positions at FCB, Vision Integrated Marketing and Lowe & Partners.

David McDermott, who most recently was running his own direct marketing agency, has been named group creative director. He has worked for clients such as AT&T, IBM, L.L. Bean and others while at Bronner Slosberg Humphrey, at Rockett, Burkhead, Lewis and Winslow and on his own.

Dan Jurek, comes to ThompsonConnect Worldwide from Wunderman Cato Johnson/New York, where he had worked on direct response television campaigns for the U.S. Army and Xerox Corp. He will serve as account executive.

Katie Hopkins will be the new creative supervisor/art director. Most recently, she was with Carlson Marketing Group and has worked with clients such as the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kaiser Permanente and Northwest Airlines.

Ina West, who will be production manager, joins ThompsonConnect from American Express, where she also worked in production.

The San Francisco office of ThompsonConnect Worldwide is one of two new offices in the ThompsonConnect network. The San Francisco office, and the other new office in Chicago, join a series of J. Walter Thompson direct marketing offices in the United States and overseas that have united under the ThompsonConnect brand name. In total, 24 offices are part of the new network.
