The Kingdom of Buganda in Uganda is preparing to send Queen Sylvia Nagginda to the Capital Region to strengthen international ties and promote global entrepreneurship. The royal visit, scheduled from May 29 to May 30, is aimed at bolstering inter-country relationships and aiding cooperative ventures.

Following discussions with Queen Nagginda and Interim CEO Calvin Mills in Washington, D.C., Senator Regina Barrow revealed the Queen’s visit. The state trip will include meetings with local officials and dignitaries. Mills focused on the potential for international collaborations and benefits for both nations. The Queen’s visit is poised to create advantageous opportunities for businesses in both countries and drive continued growth in Uganda. Senator Barrow emphasised the visit as an avenue to bridge the gap between the nations, fostering more robust diplomatic ties, expanding market access and catalysing economic progress.

Queen Nagginda’s agenda includes touring Southern University, fostering partnerships with the U.S., and speaking to the Louisiana House and Senate about international collaborations. She’ll attend a gala dinner in her honor, build relations with local community leaders, engage in a global education discussion and create a cultural exchange between Uganda and Louisiana.

Her Majesty will also engage with Southern University students and conduct a town hall meeting.

Among the planned activities, a roundtable discussion holds significant potential for local entrepreneurs to exchange ideas about potential opportunities in Uganda.
