Jaishankar shared on social media that it was a great meeting with Sullivan. He said they had a productive conversation on bilateral cooperation and global politics.

During his visit, Jaishankar also met with Phil Gordon, who is the Assistant to the US President and National Security Advisor to Vice President Kamala Harris.
Jaishankar said they had a good discussion on bilateral ties and various global developments. Gordon echoed these sentiments. He noted that they took stock of important progress in the US-India relationship, including growing defense and technology cooperation.

Bilateral ties and global challenges
They also discussed regional security issues in the Indo-Pacific, Middle East, and Europe. Jaishankar held talks with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken as well.
He described their discussions on following up from previous bilateral and Quad meetings as enriching. They covered deepening bilateral cooperation, the situation in West Asia, recent developments in the Indian subcontinent, the Indo-Pacific, and Ukraine. Blinken condemned a recent Iranian attack on Israel and emphasized India’s critical role in promoting peace on the global stage.
The US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller noted that Blinken and Jaishankar reaffirmed the enduring commitment of both nations to deepening ties, addressing regional and global challenges, and advancing cooperation on critical technologies. They also discussed expanding collaboration on clean energy initiatives to address climate change. Jaishankar thanked Blinken for facilitating the meetings between Prime Minister Modi and President Biden.
He said the meetings provided a chance to take stock of the progress in various areas, both on the bilateral front and global issues.
