Co-Host Network

Airbnb has launched a new Co-Host Network feature to make property management easier for hosts. The network allows hosts to hire other experienced hosts to help with tasks like setting up listings, managing bookings, and providing guest support. To join the network, hosts need a rating of at least 4.8 and a minimum of 10 hosted stays.

Airbnb has onboarded 10,000 hosts across ten countries, including the U.S., U.K., and Australia. Co-hosts can set their own prices for their services, and hosts seeking assistance can review co-hosts’ profiles to learn about their skills and rates. Judson Coplan, VP of Product Marketing at Airbnb, said many hosts wanted to find professional, high-quality co-hosts in their area whom they could trust and rely on completely.

Co-Host Network simplifies property management

The new co-host network allows hosts to earn extra income by managing other properties when they are not booked. In addition to the Co-Host Network, Airbnb is rolling out several new features for hosts.

These include a tool to compare pricing for similar properties in the area, customizable templates for quick replies to guests, and an improved earnings dashboard. For guests, Airbnb enhances the user experience with a welcome tour for first-time users, suggested destinations, improved search filters, simplified checkout pages, and local payment options. Airbnb is also experimenting with AI to answer quick questions about app usage, cancellations, policies, reservations, and bookings, aiming to enhance the customer experience through improved efficiency.

By launching the Co-Host Network and other new features, Airbnb aims to make property management easier for hosts while enhancing the overall experience for guests. The company hopes that if hosting on the platform becomes easier, more people will list their properties, increasing Airbnb’s supply in core destination markets.
