Google is making some tweaks to the UI of Gemini on the web and its Android app. The text field on the web interface is now more closely aligned with the mobile app design. The “plus” or “Upload Image” icon is the first element on the left.

For Advanced subscribers, this menu allows users to upload and access images, files, Drive, and Code folders.

Gemini UI tweaks enhance experience

The microphone icon at the end of the “Ask Gemini” option is now filled in.

The pill-shaped text field is now a thin outline rather than a raised container. This change is widely available. In the Android app, model information is being rolled out.

On the homepage, users will see “Gemini Advanced” followed by “1.5 Pro” in-between the history and account menu, or “Gemini” and “1.5 Flash.” In conversation interfaces, “1.5 Pro” replaces “Gemini Advanced.”

These updates are part of Google’s ongoing efforts to enhance the user experience across its platforms.
