Coors Light tackles post-Super Bowl blues

Coors Light’s 2025 Super Bowl commercial takes a humorous approach to the dreaded “case of the Mondays” feeling many fans experience after the big game. The ad features sloths struggling to get through their daily routines on the Monday following the Super Bowl. In the minute-long clip, sloth-like human football fans fumble through tasks such as attending a spin class, losing control of lawnmowers, and even falling asleep at work.

The “Slow Monday” commercial is set to the tune of The Mamas and The Papas’ “Monday, Monday” and was created by Mischief @No Fixed Address. The ad’s climax shows a sloth transforming into a human upon receiving a 12-pack of Coors Light, packaged in the brand’s limited-edition “Mondays Light” theme. The voiceover narrates, “Tomorrow, we’ll all have a case of the Mondays. So, Coors Light made a better case to help you chill.”

Coors Light’s Monday aftermath humor

Marcelo Pascoa, Coors Light’s vice president of marketing, explains, “The day after the big game, it’s easy to feel like a sloth.” And they perfectly capture that ‘Case of the Mondays’ feeling. “For weeks, we’ve been bringing this idea of ‘Case of the Mondays’ to life everywhere. Our ad is the culmination of all that hard work in an unexpected way.”

Coors Light introduced a “Case of the Mondays” merchandise collection, which includes sweat sets, bucket hats, blankets, and pillows, available at select retailers to complement the commercial. The limited-time “Mondays” packaging for the 12-packs is also available nationwide, with a bonus opportunity for fans to win a case of Coors Light for the Monday after the Super Bowl. The ad emphasizes Coors Light’s humorous approach to dealing with post-Super Bowl lethargy, making light of a universal feeling and offering their brew as a remedy.

The commercial will air during the Super Bowl on February 9th, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
