Samsung’s One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, is taking longer than expected to roll out to eligible Galaxy devices. A recent post from a beta manager on the Samsung Community forum suggests that Galaxy S24 beta testers will receive a fourth One UI 7 beta release before the stable version is ready. This beta aims to fix a bug causing incorrect display temperatures on some S24 models.

The news of an additional beta has led to speculation that the stable release of One UI 7 is still far off. Leaker Ice Universe tweeted that the wait for the stable version could be extended, leaving users with eligible devices in limbo. However, there is some hope.

A report from Korean outlet Efocus indicates that the stable One UI 7 could be released for the Galaxy S24 by late February or early March 2025. This timeline suggests that the fourth beta might be the final test version before the stable release. Samsung has confirmed plans to deliver One UI 7 to eligible Galaxy S models by the end of the first quarter of 2025.

Delays in One UI 7 release

This timeline may mean that other premium models will have to wait even longer for the update. While Samsung’s One UI 7 rollout faces delays, other manufacturers have been quicker with their Android 15 updates.

Google has already started the Android 16 beta for its Pixel devices. One UI 7 is set to bring significant new features and improvements to Samsung’s custom OS. These include a dynamic “Now Bar” widget on the lock screen, a redesigned quick panel, and enhanced home screen elements.

Despite the delays, many Samsung users are eagerly awaiting the One UI 7 update for the new features and enhancements it promises. However, the extended wait has left some users frustrated, especially those with older Galaxy models. As the One UI 7 rollout continues to unfold, Samsung users will be keeping a close eye on any news or updates regarding the stable release.

For now, it seems that patience will be key as Samsung works to deliver a polished and bug-free version of its latest software update.
