Coors Light is turning the dreaded “case of the Mondays” into a literal case of beer. The beer brand has launched Mondays Light, a limited-time packaging designed to bring a moment of relaxation on one of the most challenging Mondays of the year – the day after the Super Bowl. Many people struggle with oversleeping alarms, getting stuck in traffic, and forgetting essential items at home on this particular Monday.

Coors Light aims to ease these struggles by offering a special case of beer available at retailers nationwide for a limited time. “Let’s face it: the Monday after the Big Game takes ‘Case of the Mondays’ to a whole new level,” said Marcelo Pascoa, Vice President of Marketing at Coors Light. “So, we thought, why not turn that classic ‘Case of the Mondays’ into a literal case of Coors Light?

Mondays Light is our way of reminding fans to Choose Chill on one of the worst Mondays of the year.”

In addition to the beer, Coors Light is offering Case of the Mondays merchandise, including shirts, matching sweat sets, and hats, available for purchase. Coors Light also unveiled its 2025 Super Bowl ad, which features football fans, portrayed as sloths, struggling with everyday tasks like bagging groceries and sifting through emails. The humorous 30-second version of the ad will air during the first half of Super Bowl 59.

Post-Super Bowl relaxation with Mondays Light

The infamously slow animals are the stars of the commercial, created by Mischief @No Fixed Address and aptly titled “Slow Monday.” A version of The Mamas and The Papas’ “Monday, Monday” serves as the soundtrack for the ad. The commercial closes with one of the sloth people receiving a 12-pack of Coors Light with the brand’s limited-edition Mondays Light packaging, turning him back into a human.

“Tomorrow, we’ll all have a case of the Mondays. So, Coors Light made a better case to help you chill,” the ad’s voiceover says as the sloth accepts the beers. The limited-time “Mondays” packaging for Coors Light 12-packs featured in the 2025 Super Bowl ad is now available at retailers nationwide.

The packaging also includes a chance for fans to win a case of Coors Light to have on hand for the Monday after the Super Bowl. “The day after the big game, it’s easy to feel like a sloth — they perfectly capture that ‘Case of the Mondays’ feeling,” Marcelo Pascoa said in a statement. “For weeks, we’ve been bringing this idea of ‘Case of the Mondays’ to life everywhere.

Our ad is the culmination of all that hard work in an unexpected way.”

Earlier this year, Coors Light mistakenly spelled the word refreshment as “refershment” in national newspapers and billboards to show the brand having its own “Case of the Mondays” moment.
