The DMA’s insert media council had its annual “Roast & Toast Holiday Luncheon” yesterday at the Yale Club in New York. The council honored some of the most recognized names in the industry.
Jim Zuckermandel, president and CEO of Zed Marketing Group, was honored for his accomplishments in the insert industry. Before getting into direct marketing, Zuckermandel was an athletic coach at the U.S. Military Academy and a world class speed skater, coaching many notable skaters including multiple gold medal winner Eric Heiden.
Boardroom Inc. was the corporate honoree for its work with inserts. The publisher of business and entrepreneurial newsletters and books 50-100 million promotional pieces in its mailings per year, according to the DMA.
Longtime direct marketer Aileen Reynolds was posthumously honored for her 26 years in the DM business. Friends and family members were on hand to accept a plaque in her honor.
