Apu Gupta, CEO & Co-founder, Curalate

Apu Gupta is the CEO & Co-founder of Curalate, the world’s leading marketing and analytics suite for the visual web. Over 450 of the world’s most loved brands, including Gap, Neiman Marcus, Campbell’s, Swarovski, Sephora, Better Homes & Gardens, and Michaels, rely on Curalate’s advanced image-analytics algorithms and robust marketing tools to understand visual conversations, increase fan engagement, and grow revenue across Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr and Facebook.

Prior to Curalate, Apu worked in retail and technology. Apu built the second largest drugstore chain in India as the COO & CMO of MedPlus Health Services, served on the interim management team of Peracon, a provider of software for the commercial real estate industry, and was in sales and marketing roles at WebEx Communications from their Series A financing through their IPO. Apu has an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a MBA from the Wharton School of Business.


Ephraim Cohen, SVP & Senior Partner, FleishmanHillard


Ephraim Cohen is a senior vice president and senior partner at FleishmanHillard where he serves as the social and digital lead for the East Region.

Mr. Cohen joined from MWW where he was the chair of the technology and digital content industry practice and executive vice president of innovation, overseeing the development of new platforms in media and technology; including brand journalism; editorial and social advertising; community building; and owned, earned, paid measurement. Previously, he founded and ran The Fortex Group, an industry community-building firm targeting the media, music, video, and marketing industries. At Fortex, he launched the breakthrough model where the agency built and owned community media properties, allowing clients to leverage these communities as client-sponsors. Mr. Cohen launched the firm after serving as the executive vice president and general manager of Edelman’s global technology practice as well as running their Boston office.

Mr. Cohen’s client work cuts across consumer, corporate and technology clients including AT&T Verizon (FiOS), Samsung, Accenture, Deloitte Consulting, Sony Music, Hillshire Farm, the Government of Singapore, and UK Trade & Investment. He began his career at Business Week as an assistant editor in the executive programs division. He later became the managing director of the International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition (IACC) where he worked on trade policy and served as manager of the Digital Future Coalition, an organization focused on global copyright policy.

Mr. Cohen holds a master’s degree of public policy in international political economy from Georgetown University’s Public Policy Institute and a bachelor’s degree in political science and dramatic literature from New York University.
