4C Insights announced today that digital marketing veteran Aaron Goldman has joined the team as CMO. He will report to CEO Lance Neuhauser and focus on promoting the company as a trusted source of intelligence for brands, agencies, publishers, and networks.
“4C has a tremendous roster of products that have been building marketplace momentum through strong word of mouth but the time is right for us to drive demand more aggressively,” Neuhauser said in a release about the appointment. “Aaron brings a proven track record of innovative marketing for some of the most successful companies in our space. As a prolific writer and speaker, he’s also well-positioned to deliver thought leadership for our clients.”
Prior to joining the marketing insights provider, Goldman was CMO for Kenshoo for about five years. Throughout his time with the marketing software provider, its footprint expanded seven-fold, with recognition as a leader from research and analyst firms, including Forrester Research.
The University of Illinois alum also founded digital marketing consultancy Connectual and served as VP of Marketing at Resolution Media, where he worked alongside Neuhauser. In addition, Goldman ran the Midwest U.S. sales team for MaxOnline, an online ad network that was rolled up into Excite, Ask Jeeves, and IAC.
“While our industry has made great strides, there are still huge inefficiencies in the advertising process as consumers use more channels and screens than ever before,” Goldman said in a statement. “4C’s unique data science solves for these complexities and empowers brands to laser-target the very people that will be most receptive to their message. It’s a rare opportunity to join a company powering the future of advertising and I’m looking forward to working with this talented team and premier clients.”
Goldman, author of Everything I Know about Marketing I Learned From Google, currently blogs up a storm. He was a 2012 Direct Marketing News‘ 40 Under 40 award winner. (This year’s 40 Under 40 winners will be announced on June 15, with the awards ceremony taking place on September 24 in NYC.)
