Re/code reports that John Yi, Pinterest’s head of marketing developer partnership is leaving the company.
Yi was responsible for building out Pinterest’s API for marketing platforms used by brands to market their products on Pinterest. Only a select number of platforms were given access to the API including Salesforce (Exact Target Marketing Cloud), Hootsuite, Spredfast, Percolate, Piqora, Curalate and Tailwind.
Before Pinterest, Yi had worked at Facebook, building out its API for its marketing partners, and he had been hired to launch the same offering by Pinterest in its effort to become more commerce friendly. Yi will be succeeded in the role by Jyri Kidwell.
