Pandora appointed Simon Fleming-Wood its first CMO, the Internet radio company said on Oct. 17.
Fleming-Wood previously served as VP of marketing at Cisco Systems‘ Consumer Products business, which included the Linksys and Flip Video brands.
Pandora referred request for comment to a company statement.
“Simon’s entrepreneurial spirit, history of driving business growth, and experience in creating beloved brands and products are all attributes we’re delighted to have him apply in his new role at Pandora as we grow the business,” Joe Kennedy, president and CEO of Pandora, said in the company statement.
Pandora reported $58.3 million in advertising revenue for the third quarter, accounting for 87% of the period’s total revenue.
Pandora has partnered with brands such as Toyota Motor Sales and Lipton to create integrated marketing campaigns. Pandora and Toyota teamed in March for the “Legends & Icons” campaign, which pairs one Toyota model with a Pandora genre radio station each month. Pandora worked with Lipton on “The Natural Side of Music” campaign that directed consumers to Lipton-branded playlists on Pandora.
