Agency president Scott Neslund will lead Moxie Interactive after CEO Joel Lunenfeld leaves the Publicis Groupe-owned digital shop on August 15. Neslund’s title will remain president and he will join the North America management committee of parent agency ZenithOptimedia.
Neslund will report to Tim Jones, CEO of ZenithOptimedia North America, as a committee member. He will continue to work from Moxie’s Atlanta headquarters. The digital agency named Neslund its first president in March.
Twitter has appointed Lunenfeld its director of global brand strategy, according to news reports.
Moxie’s clients include Verizon Wireless, L’Oréal USA, The Coca-Cola Co. and Twentieth Century Fox.
Jones said in a statement that Neslund has “proven to be an inspiring leader” and that he is “confident he will steer this company and our clients boldly into the future.” A Moxie representative could not be reached immediately to comment further.
Publicis’ digital businesses generated 45% of the holding company’s second-quarter North America revenue.
