Lease-to-own retailer Aaron’s launched the “Win the Weekend of Your Dreams” sweepstakes on November 1 to attract new consumers to visit its stores.
Aaron’s is using direct mail, e-mail blasts, mobile marketing, in-store advertising and its company website to promote the sweepstakes. The company created the effort in-house.
“We want to drive traffic into our stores,” said Mark Rudnick, VP of marketing at Aaron’s.
The company, which sells furniture, electronics, appliances and computers, is targeting 18-to-49 year-olds with the initiative.
Aaron’s is collecting names, e-mail addresses, postal addresses and product interest from consumers entering the sweepstakes.
The grand prize is an all-expense-paid trip for two to an April 2011 NASCAR race at Talladega, AL. First prize is a 47” LCD flatscreen TV.
The company will measure the number of entries, as well as how many opt-ins and e-mails it receives.
The sweepstakes will run through mid-March.
