Solvay Pharmaceuticals has teamed with Omnicom agency Tribal DDB for a new campaign aimed at increasing education among men about low testosterone.
A Web site, IsItLowT.com, helps men and their families learn the warning signs of low testosterone.
“Because an estimated 90% of the more than 13 million American men who suffer from low testosterone remain untreated, we developed this Web site to fill an unmet need in the resources available for men, their spouses and health care professionals,” said Jessica Mumaw-Riley, specialist of US corporate communications for Solvay Pharmaceuticals Inc., in an e-mail to DMNews.
Web site creative uses a silhouette of a man as a guide. Tim Pantello, managing partner of Tribal DDB Health Worldwide, said the silhouette form represents a man suffering from the illness as “a shadow of his former self.”
The site offers facts on the illness’ symptoms through interactive videos and information pages, which explain diagnosis and treatment options, and a doctor discussion guide. The call to action is for men to take the Low TQuiz, to test their bodies for signs of the disease.
Symptoms of low testosterone are illustrated on the home page. Visitors click through each symptom to learn about the condition, diagnosis and treatment.
