E-mail services firm Goodmail Systems has hired Jordan Cohen, former Epsilon manager, to fill the role of senior director of industry relations, as part of the e-mail firm’s expansion.
Cohen is an active member of the e-mail industry. He currently co-chairs the Email Experience Council’s Advocacy Committee and the Authentication and Online Trust Alliance’s (AOTA) Public Policy Committee, and also serves as a member of the DMA’s Public Relations Advisory Committee.
In his new role, Cohen will lead the company’s public relations efforts and will work closely with Goodmail’s industry partners and senders. Cohen will report to SVP of worldwide marketing and sales David Atlas.
“I will be working closely with our industry partners and senders to help them take advantage of CertifiedEmail as a mailing platform and as a marketing tool,” said Cohen.
Jordan’s appointment comes as Goodmail is growing the use of its e-mail certification tool and is expanding to include ad capability, which is expected to come out this summer. He joins Goodmail after Peter Horan, former IAC Media and Advertising CEO, came on as earlier this month CEO.
Cohen comes to Goodmail from Epsilon where he led the company’s strategic relationships and communications with media, analysts, government agencies, Internet service providers, industry partners and trade associations.
Prior to his role at Epsilon, Cohen was manager of public policy for the Direct Marketing Association, where he was responsible for stakeholder communications and where he served as a national spokesman on a variety of direct and interactive marketing issues.
