Constant Contact reported total revenue of $18.2 million for the quarter that ended March 31, an increase of 87% compared to $9.7 million for the comparable period in 2007.
The e-mail marketing firm would not comment on what this growth will mean for its future business. However, the first quarter financials also reported that Constant Contact has 185,948 e-mail marketing customers, a 78% percent increase from the end of the first quarter of 2007.
In addition, Constant Contact reported an operating loss of $638,000 for the quarter ended March 31, 2008, an improvement from an operating loss of $2.4 million for the comparable period in 2007. The e-mail marketing firm also reported an adjusted EBITDA profit of $804,000 in the first quarter of 2008, up from an adjusted EBITDA loss of $1.8 million for the same period in 2007.
