E-mail marketing services firm Blue Sky Factory, has acquired Blogarithm, a firm that offers an online service connecting consumers with blogs and RSS.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition is effective immediately.
The Blogarithm acquisition comes after Blue Sky Factory purchased RSSFWD, an RSS to e-mail services firm, in May of this year.
Over the next few months, Blogarithm will be powered by RSSFWD technology with some additional features. Blue Sky Factory also plans to integrate some of the service’s features into its Web-based e-mail marketing platform.
Blogarithm is a free service that lets customers manage and monitor content on demand. When new content is posted to blogs, a Web site or another RSS-syndicated service, Blogarithm alerts subscribers via BlogMail in a daily e-mail that chronicles all new content posted to a subscriber’s blogs.
Blogarithm has more than 35,000 active users and monitors more than 70,000 unique RSS feeds.
Blue Sky Factory will operate Blogarithm as an autonomous service in conjunction with the company’s current e-mail marketing offerings.
