Cardiac Network to launch customer monitoring service

Cardiac Network Inc. will launch the database-supported Heart ONE Club nationwide on November 30.

The Heart ONE Club inputs all users of Heart ONE cardiac monitors into a national database and gives them access to a 24-hour call center. Call centers are staffed by trained technicians. Board-certified cardiologists and paramedics are also on hand at the centers.

Heart ONE keeps an independent database of users’ medical records and previous EKGs, making the information instantly accessible to the professionals at the call center. Cardiac Network spent the past few months updating its infrastructure to better support the new data system.

Once the call center staff evaluates a patient’s condition, the technicians are able to request a remote EKG from the Heart ONE personal monitor. In emergencies, the staff can contact a local ambulance service directly and alert a patient’s regular physician and emergency contacts. The medical data in the Heart ONE Club database can also be transferred directly to a patient’s local emergency room.

The monitors themselves can transfer data through any telephone or mobile device.

Heart disease patients can order the Heart ONE monitor directly from Cardiac Network for an initial cost of $499. Monthly monitoring costs an additional $49.99.
