BlueTie Inc., a hosted e-mail and calendaring services firm, has partnered with global IT management firm CA Inc. to offer BlueTie services to Internet service providers (ISPs).
Under the terms of the agreement, CA, based in Islandia, NY, will resell the BlueTie e-mail and calendaring suite as a private-label, broadband offering to Internet service providers. ISPs will, in turn, be able to offer the e-mail and calendaring application to their subscribers.
Pittsford, NY-based BlueTie’s e-mail calendaring platform, called Featuretisements, lets marketing partners serve ads based on a user’s input into the Blue Tie e-mail calendar.
In return, the ISPs monetize their service. Every time a subscriber completes a transaction using integrated services from partners such as Business.com, MapQuest and Constant Contact, the ISP and BlueTie take a percentage of the sale.
The agreement with CA increases BlueTie’s access to ISPs, incumbent local exchange carriers and competitive local exchange carriers.
