Search engine iSleuth.com, Fort Lauderdale, FL, announced it has entered into an agreement with software developer and marketer, Inktomi, San Mateo, CA, to develop a new e-commerce shopping service. The service, which will utilize a new software being developed by Inktomi, is going to provide access to more than 200 online merchants and 500,000 products from 14 categories.
A spokesman for Inktomi said the service is expected to be up and operational in the first quarter of 1999. It will offer products from such categories as apparel and jewelry, books and magazines, computer and video games, consumer electronics and movies and videos. iSleuth.com owns and operates The Internet Sleuth at the Isleuth.com Web site (www.isleuth.com).
