The Webcraft subsidiary of Big Flower Holdings Inc., New York, announced May 28 that it has acquired ColorStream Technologies, Chicago, its third acquisition in less than a year. ColorStream specializes in database development and customization programs that use digital technology to produce print-on-demand products. Big Flower president and CEO Edward T. Reilly said the acquisition will help Webcraft expand its direct marketing services. “ColorStream will play an integral role for our Webcraft group as it continues to broaden its array of direct marketing services, furthering its position as a leading provider of fully integrated direct marketing services,” Reilly said. Webcraft, acquired by Big Flower in March 1996, offers database management services, fulfillment/response capabilities and a range of direct mail products and services. After its acquisition by Big Flower, Webcraft acquired Impco Enterprises Inc., Rochester, NY, a marketing services company in November, and Olwen Direct Mail Ltd., London, in October.
