Stein Rogan & Partners, New York, has formed a strategic partnership with start-up interactive marketing, design and production company BitFlip Interactive Group, New York.
Under the arrangement, Stein Rogan prepaid start-up BitFlip an undisclosed amount for services that will be provided over time. In return, Stein Rogan will have an equity position in the agency and a seat on the board of directors.
Stein Rogan said it sees the agreement as a way to expand its interactive capacity.
“In 1997, interactive grew to nearly a third of our overall revenues,” said Tom Stein, president of Stein Rogan. “Our agreement with BitFlip adds to our considerable existing interactive capabilities by adding additional proficiency in Web and intranet design and development and high-end transactional programming.”
BitFlip, launched by former executives at Foote Cone & Belding and Tumble Interactive, will receive operating capital and an initial work flow.
