Search engine Excite (www.excite.com), Redwood City, CA, and shopping retailer Genesis Direct, Secaucus, NJ, reached an agreement that will bring 20 Genesis Direct catalog names, including proteam.com to Excite and Web Crawler (www.webcrawler.com). At Excite, consumers will be able to click on an area of interest and be linked to one of the catalog sites where they will be able to view and purchase products.
The Genesis Direct collection will debut on Excite this quarter with sports fan merchandise store proteam.com (www.proteam.com). The agreement also calls for Excite and its services to be promoted through inserts in Genesis Direct catalogs and merchandise shipments to Genesis Direct customers.
