Tonight will be a seminal moment for one group of young marketers.
This evening, Direct Marketing News will host the 2015 40 Under 40 Awards to honor the exceptional marketing achievements of exemplary professionals, who at such a young age already are making their marks on the industry.

Today also marks a decisive moment for the staff and readers of DMN—who for the first time will be able to watch a live-stream of our swank awards ceremony via Periscope—an app that many brands now use to fuel real-time engagement with current and potential customers.
A number of organizations are infusing live-streaming into their multichannel strategies—and the reception from viewers has been astounding. To date, more than 10 million users—from celebrities and brands, to everyday social media followers—have signed up for a Periscope account and millions more are on competing platform Meerkat.
In fact, on Tuesday the White House joined Periscope to broadcast its first live-stream of Pope Francis’ arrival to Washington, DC, and, of course, the warm greeting the pontiff received from President Obama and the entire First Family. More than 11,000 people tuned in to check it out, and the White House Periscope account now has nearly 16,000 followers.
