Online giant Yahoo Inc. is reportedly facing a round of layoffs as part of a restructuring to focus on its core businesses.
Diana Wong, senior director of corporate communications for the company, would not confirm the reports, referring to a company statement that said, in part, “Yahoo has embarked on a multi-year transformation that includes making tough decisions about the business to help the company grow.”
The company said it planned to increase investment and continue to hire in some key areas while reducing focus or eliminating roles in other areas.
