Marketing services provider Acxiom Corp. reported 3.6% growth in revenue to $298.8 million in its fiscal 2011 fourth quarter, which ended March 31. However, the Little Rock, Ark.-based company also saw a loss from operations of $53 million in the quarter.
Full fiscal-year revenue increased by 5.5% to $1.16 billion, compared with fiscal 2010. The company earned $30.9 million in income from operations in full-year 2011.
The earnings for both the quarter and the 2011 fiscal year were “in line with our expectations expressed in our March 30 announcement,” said Jerry Gramaglia, interim CEO of Acxiom. The company released a revised earnings guidance then, and said CEO and president John Meyer and CFO Christopher Wolf had resigned from the company.
The company’s information services division, which contains its products, services and consulting businesses, saw a revenue increase of 1.4% in the fiscal fourth quarter to $224.6 million. Its income from operations was down 23.4% year-over-year to $21.2 million.
Fiscal Q4 revenue from its information products division, which produces IT products, increased 11.2% to $74.2 million in fiscal Q4, and it earned $13.7 million in income from operations during the period.
