Adobe has launched a new global skilling initiative to equip 30 million learners and teachers worldwide with AI literacy, content creation, and digital marketing skills by 2030. The program expands the Adobe Digital Academy, focusing on empowering members of the creator economy and promoting career pathways. Adobe has pledged over $100 million this year in donations, scholarships, product access, and partnerships to support this commitment.

The resources aim to help people and organizations across the globe tell their stories through digital mediums. The program offers various curricula, including courses on Social Media Content, Multimedia Content, Content Marketing, Multi-channel Content, Advertising, Generative AI Content Creation, and Creative & AI Skills. These courses are now globally available on Coursera, providing flexible learning opportunities for aspiring learners to gain vital skills at their own pace.

Certificates in Content Creation and Graphic Design are currently available, with additional certifications in digital marketing expected in early 2025. Adobe is granting $250,000 in scholarship licenses through nonprofit organizations to enable access to Adobe courses and certificates on Coursera.

Adobe is also expanding its collaboration with General Assembly, a leading tech talent and training provider, to include marketing and content creation bootcamps. These bootcamps offer free live and on-demand training, career coaching, personal branding, and portfolio-building resources. The first U.S. cohort begins in November, with additional cohorts in the U.S., U.K., and India planned for January 2025.

Representatives from DECA, NPower, Build.org, the King’s Trust, AVID, Girl Scouts of Western Washington, and Pratham highlighted the significance of Adobe’s contributions. Christopher Young, Chief Program Officer at DECA Inc., said, “Adobe is the ideal partner for DECA as we amplify our quest to prepare students for college and careers. This initiative will empower our student members with the creative skills they need for future careers in marketing and business.”

These partnerships underscore Adobe’s mission to enhance creative learning and access to technology for under-resourced communities globally.

The initiative aims to empower diverse groups to engage in real-world project-based learning experiences that foster collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.
