Arial Software's Campaign Enterprise e-mail marketing software is now fully automated to handle bounces and unsubscribe clicks, the company said yesterday. The software costs $995 and up.
Arial said e-mail bounces are automatically detected, regardless of reason — mailbox full, no mail server record, recipient account does not exist and others — while click-through unsubscribe requests are monitored in real-time via Campaign Enterprise's built-in Web server.
As bounces and unsubscribe requests are detected, the software updates the originating record in the source database, marking the record as needed. For example, a “bounce count” field can allow the administrator to set a bounce threshold before deciding not to e-mail that recipient again.
Arial said it developed the new features in response to customer suggestions and that it thinks the features will make marketing more efficient and less frustrating for professionals.
