The Caples Group has announced its two lifetime achievement award honorees.
Dylan Taylor, creative director for Direct and partner and board member at Sydney independent BMF, will receive the Wunderman Award while Duncan Gray, Proximity Worldwide creative leader and Worldwide board member, was awarded the Andi Emerson Award, another lifetime achievement award for service to the direct marketing community.
They will be recognized at this year’s 30th annual Caples awards on March 6.
Gray began his career in direct marketing with DDM Advertising, and went on to be a founding partner of the UK’s Barraclough Hall Woolston Gray and of the Proximity agency network. He has previously been Caples’ chief European judge and has given training sessions throughout the world in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Singapore, Canada, Netherlands, Belgium, Croatia and Portugal.
Taylor began his career in London working at Horner Collis Kirvan (now part of Euro) and Yellowhammer (now part of DDB). His work has been awarded often, receiving three Cannes Lions, three Echoes and nine Caples. Now based in Australia, BMF has won 25 new accounts and new business totalling more than $250 million with Taylor at the helm.
