Lyft and Netflix are taking the show on the road again – and this time, they’re doing it 80s style.
The partnership comes in celebration of the second season of “GLOW” a popular Netflix series based on the true-life events of “The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling,” an all-female wrestling organization that gained fame in the late 1980s.
On June 29 and 30, Lyft is giving riders in Los Angeles and Las Vegas a chance to ride around town in Melanie “Melrose” Rosen’s vintage stretch limo, which appeared in season one. The limo is decked out with 80s props, giving riders a change to throw a full-on party that’s perfect for social media.

Riders across the country also have the change to activate “GLOW Mode,” in the Lyft app. When riders enter the code “GLOW2,” the app goes vintage, transforing car emblems into GLOW decals.
On June 27, Lyft also released a video promo for the event, featuring members of the “GLOW” cast having a Lyft party of their own:
This isn’t the first time Netflix and Lyft have teamed up to drive viewership. In October 2017, the brands released “Stranger Mode” ahead of the second season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things.” That activation invited riders to take a spooky cruise down the streets of L.A. and Philadelphia, along with an in-app “Stranger Mode” experience.
“We want to create meaningful experiences for drivers, passengers and fans, and celebrate unique pop culture moments. That’s why we partnered with Netflix last October for Strange Mode, and why we’re excited to team up again in celebration of Glow Season 2,” Chloe Slobotkin, manager, culture & entertainment marketing, Lyft, said in a statement. “We’re offering a memorable way for fans to experience the show, with an in-app 80s takeover for passengers across the country.”
