Chicago 2016, the exploratory committee seeking to host the 2016 Olympic Games in Chicago, has named Ogilvy Chicago as its digital agency of record.
Ogilvy Chicago, which includes Ogilvy & Mather Advertising and OgilvyOne, will be a strategic partner in redeveloping Chicago 2016’s digital presence.
“It is every marketer’s dream to be part of such a big vision that has the opportunity to change a city’s landscape for generations to come,” said Jack Rooney, president of Ogilvy Chicago and North American CEO of OgilvyAction, in a statement.
Other cities competing to host the 2016 Olympic Games include Baku, Azerbaijan; Doha, Qatar; Madrid, Spain; Prague, Czech Republic; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and Tokyo, Japan.
