Interactive agency Special Ops Media has redesigned Atari’s official Dragonball Z Web site to update the look and make it interactive and more user-friendly.
The relaunched advertising site at www.atari.com/dragonballz has a sleeker, more modern feel but stays consistent with the Dragonball Z universe and the entire catalog of games. Users can personalize their home pages with color and a character.
“Functionally, this is a small thing to do, but from a brand-engagement perspective, it does a lot,” said Taylor Margis-Noguera, EVP of business development at Special Ops Media. “People have an attachment to the Dragonball Z game and even more specifically to the characters.”
The site does not host any gaming; it is strictly promotional. But it does feature videos of game footage and tips and tricks on how to beat the game. The site is aimed at enthusiasts but is also designed as a friendly environment for newbies.
The site was also designed with scalability in mind, creating an easily updatable interface to which Atari users can upload their videos, games and news on a regular basis. n
