Employers Insurance has named SolutionSet its direct marketing agency of record. The two companies have worked together since early fall, with the AOR relationship becoming official November 15 after a competitive pitch. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
After putting out an RFI in early summer, Employers executives traveled to five agencies and followed that round by inviting three agencies to pitch for the business at Employers’ Reno, NV, headquarters, according to Ty Vukelich, VP of corporate marketing at the company.
“We developed a strategic work assignment built around how to improve our direct mail as well as a midterm view for digital marketing, followed by a longer term plan” Vukelich said.
SolutionSet will handle strategy, creative, production and analytics for the small business insurance company.
“Small business owners struggle with time starvation even more than consumers,” said Zain Raj, CEO of SolutionSet. “The goal in the insurance sector is the same as other sectors — giving customers incentive to choose your brand.” He continued that SolutionSet’s marketing approach will highlight how Employers products and services save its customers’ and prospects’ time.
Raj declined to go into specifics on the work to be done. Employers Insurance could not immediately be reached for comment.
