Farmers Insurance Group, parent company of Foremost Insurance Company, has promoted Jack Hannigan to EVP of independent agency operations from SVP and CMO. He will retain his marketing responsibilities, a spokesperson told DMNews. The move is effective immediately.
“We welcome Jack to his new position,” said Paul Patsis, president of market management at Farmers, in a statement. “He brings a wealth of experience to his new position which will include organizing all independent agent operations into a common management structure with a unified independent agent strategy.”
Hannigan was employed previously at Foremost Insurance Company in 1983 as VP of administration, became SVP in 1985 and EVP of operations in 1986, where he managed information systems, policy operations and HR. In 1989 he became EVP of agency marketing and headed up corporate marketing in 1991, becoming Farmers CMO in 1997.
Representatives from Farmers were unavailable for comment by press time.
