Twitter serendipitously erupted in female empowerment discourse Tuesday afternoon; just in time for the 2015 Marketing Hall of Femme hosted by Direct Marketing News later this month.
The two most popular hashtags, #EqualPayDay and #ToTheGirls, each spoke to female empowerment in the home, social life, and workplace, with the former exclusively critiquing gender wage gaps in 2015.

The #ToTheGirls hashtag is much more topically general than #EqualPayDay. Tweeters offered advice and insight on everything from acknowledging self worth, to sex, to creative and professional development.
