The FTC is running an e-mail campaign for Mother’s Day to help educate moms about secure practices online. Consumers can create the e-cards to send to their Moms at www.ftc.gov/mom, or www.ftc.gov/madre for Spanish speakers. The cards tell moms how safeguard their social security numbers, check bills and bank statements digitally in a safe manner and how to check if an e-mail is legitimate. There is also info on how to report fraud to the FTC. Happy safe Mother’s Day!
