Retail sales tumbled across the board this December in what analysts have deemed the worst shopping season in five years. Among the few who saw increases were Wal-Mart, which posted a 2.7% increase in sales and Jos. A. Banks, which saw a 9.3% increase. Losers included Target, down 5%; Nordstrom, down 4%; and Kohl’s, down 11.4%.
