Customer identity management platform Gigya takes its quarterly look at consumer trends in the use of social media credentials. Perhaps surprisingly, while Facebook still leads the pack, there are signs that its supremacy may have peaked, and that Google is making small but incremental inroads into the space.
Looking at mobile alone, however, Facebook is still growing, with its share of social logins on mobile apps hitting an all-time high of 80 percent this quarter. Use of Twitter log ins has grown, but remains relatively insignificant–which may tell us something about users’ relationships with their Twitter, as opposed to their Facebook or Google+, identity.
