Internet users would like to manage their healthcare benefits online, according to “Cybercitizen Health,” a July 1999 Cyber Dialogue study.
Sixty-seven percent of respondents with health insurance would be interested in checking the extent of coverage online. Fifty-six percent would like to check claim status online, 47 percent would be interested in finding a doctor or a hospital online, and 40 percent would be interested in filing claims online.
The study was based on interviews with more than 2,700 adults in the United States and has a +/- 1.9% margin of error.
