JoS. A. Bank Clothiers Inc.’s Robert Wildrick will retire as CEO and become chairman of the company’s board. R. Neal Black will succeed Wildrick as CEO and also become director of the company.
Black, who has been the company’s chief merchandising officer since 2000, will remain president of the company as well.
These moves will be effective December 21.
The company also said that Andrew Giordano will become chairman emeritus while remaining lead independent director.
Earlier this month, the multichannel men’s apparel merchant said that sales for the second fiscal quarter ended August 2 increased 13.7% for a total of $152.7 million. Same-store sales rose 6.8% during the same period while direct marketing sales increased 10.2%.
