Lawyer Links LLC, an online publisher of specialized legal content, has signed up to use e-mail marketing services JangoMail to distribute its e-mail news alerts.
The legal site at www.LawyerLinks.com sends Advantage Alerts, the latest corporate law news, to its subscribers. JangoMail will manage these mailings, as well as its customer database by integrating the product with its existing Microsoft SharePoint application.
“E-mail is how we communicate news to our client and subscribers,” said Eric Korb, who is the managing partner, chief operating officer and co-founder of Lawyer Links.
Lawyer Links sends e-mails as often as news comes out – from twice a week to numerous times a day, depending on news in the legal world. It segments its list by the subscriber’s legal preference such as securities or corporate news.
With JangoMail’s API, Lawyer Links creates custom forms that pull contacts from its database in real-time and formats custom e-mails. The company is working to integrate JangoMail with its Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 application to manage its subscriber database.
“We don’t want to be spammers, so we only send relevant content to what the subscriber has asked to receive,” Korb added. “People like our e-mail alerts because they are short and to the point.”
